Objectives: 

To ensure equal access to seating accommodations for persons with disabilities in public spaces such as transportation, entertainment venues, and public events.

  1. To raise awareness about the needs and rights of persons with disabilities to have access to reserved seating options.
  2. To promote inclusivity and diversity by creating designated seating areas for persons with disabilities.
  3. To provide a sense of security and comfort for persons with disabilities by guaranteeing them a reserved seat in crowded or busy environments.
  4. To encourage businesses and organizations to prioritize the needs of persons with disabilities and make their spaces more accessible and accommodating.
  5. To advocate for the implementation of policies and regulations that support the reservation of seats for persons with disabilities in all public spaces.
  6. To empower persons with disabilities to assert their rights and advocate for their needs in public spaces.

Mizo Core students i,e., Male 14 and Female 18 students participated

Theme: “Seat Reservation Drive for PwD (Persons with Disable) inside Aizawl Town Bus” on 22nd September, 2022 organized by Social Welfare Department (GoM) & Aizawl City Bus Owners’ Association.

Outcomes:
