On 16th August, 2019, Non-Teaching Staff of Govt. J. Thankima College has organised Cleanliness Work at College.
On 14th August 2019, Department of History Govt. J. Thankima College has organised History Annual Meet -2019 at Bawngkawn Y.M.A. (Young Mizo Association) Conference Hall. Mr. Lalringliana, Deputy Mayor, Aizawl Municipal Corporation (A.M.C.) was the Chief Guest of the Meet. Dr. Malsawmliana, General Secretary – Mizoram History Association was the Resource Person on this Meet
On 3rd August, 2019, Divinition of Youth Adventure Club Govt. J. Thankima College has organised training at college central campus. In this training, different types techniques on using of robe have been studied and hands on practice were demonstarted.

At the beginning of every semesters, departments have organised meetings with the Principal for discussing the steps to be achieved by the department. In the meetings, various topics like maintaining of quality standard, improving the relation between teachers and students, action plan of the department etc have been discussed.
