The Annual College Week organised by the Students’ Union of Govt. J.Thankima College was held during 6th – 14th September, 2018 successfully.

During the Week, all the students were divided into four houses viz Red, Blue, Green and Yellow Houses. And competitions were held in various events such as futsal, track and field events, indoor games, football, volleyball, singing, debate, Mizo traditional games, etc., at various locations within the vicinity of the College.

A Cultural Day was also organised during the Week where students attending the programme wore traditional attire and contest for Best Cultural Costume King and Queen as well as Man and Lady of the College were held.

The Students’ Union Leaders took the helm in organising the College Week and the selected House Leaders in-charge of their respective Houses manages the different Houses. The teachers in-charge of various departments also took an active role in advising, supporting and monitoring the activities of the students during the Week.

The Annual Week closes with Red House soaring high by winning the highest number of gold and silver medals. And, the overall point score will be declared and prizes will be given to winners at the Annual Week Closing Function.

The Principal and staff of the College is proud of the Students’ Union for displaying unmatched leadership skills in organising the Week and thanked all the students for rendering discipline and obedience. Further, a note of appreciation is hereby extended to all the winners and participants in the various competitions.
