One Day College Level Students’ Seminar on Contemporary World: Issues & Challenges

Today, i.e. 12th Feb, 2019, Dept. of History has organized One Day College Level Students’ Seminar. The theme of the Seminar is ‘Contemporary World : Issues and Challenges’. The programme was divided into two technical sessions; the first session was moderated by Mr. Lalchangliana, Associate Professor, Dept of History and the second session was moderated by Mrs. Rebecca Khiangte, Associate Professor, Dept of History. The first session was composed of six different paper presentations viz, 1)Origin and Impact of Cold War – presented by  Lalsawmkima (VI Sem Hist. Core), 2) Cuban Missile Crisis and Cold War – presented by Jason Lalchhanchhuaha (VI Sem Hist. Core), 3) Golden Years and the Technological Revolution in the Post War Economic Development – presented by Lalremliani (VI Sem Hist. Core),4) Economic Recovery of Europe during the Post War Period presented by K. Vanlalnghahpuii (VI Sem Hist. Core), 5) Dangers of Nuclear Proliferation(Increase) – presented by Lalnunchhana (VI Sem Hist. Core), 6) Questions on NATO – presented by JV Lalawmpuia (VI Sem Hist. Core).

In the Second Session nine papers were presented by nine History Students (Immanuel Lalhmangaihsanga, Zenith Malsawmkimi, PL Zahmingliana, Vanhlupuii, Lawmnapari, Ludikhasauhrung, Dominic Lalthafamkima, R. Lallianzuala & Lalnunpuii). The presentation of different papers on the two sessions was followed by the lively discussions based on the different topics presented.
