Objectives:
The objective of a mass cleanliness drive is to promote a clean and healthy environment by mobilizing a large group of people to participate in cleaning up public spaces such as streets, parks, beaches, and other areas. This initiative aims to raise awareness about the importance of cleanliness, instil a sense of civic responsibility, and improve the overall well-being of the community. By working together to remove litter and waste, participants can help prevent pollution, protect wildlife, and create a more pleasant and sustainable living environment for everyone.
The context:
8th February, 2023: In collaboration with Bawngkawn Local Council, NCG (Eco Club), Government J. Thankima College Organized Mass Cleanliness Drive at Bawngkawn Locality near Greenwood Hospital and Bawngkawn Brigade Field. More than 100 students from 2nd Semester along with Green Leaders participated in this programme.
Outcome:
- Improved sanitation and hygiene levels in the community.
- Reduction in the spread of diseases and illnesses.
- Increased awareness about the importance of cleanliness and hygiene.
