INDIAN INDEPENDENCE DAY PRE-CELEBRATION :

The preparation for the celebration of the 75th anniversary of India”s Independence Day, with the theme ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ is underway through out the country. And Government J. Thankima College has started the preparation for the celebration of this memorable day with the National Service Scheme  (NSS)Units taking the initiative.

To commemorate the 75th anniversary of I-Day,  Dordarshan Kendra of Aizawl is making a documentary film on the celebrations organised by various institutione in Mizoram. And the College is one the Institution to be covered in the documentary film.

Mr. F. Sangvuana, Programme Officer and Associate Professor, has invited all the faculty, staff and students of the Institution to take part in the celebration and to hoist the national tricolour flag in the College and at home.

Mr. Sangvuana also said that Har Ghar Tiranga is an initiative by the Government of India to encourage the citizens of India to hoist the Indian National Flag in their homes to promote a stronger bonding between the citizen of India and the Tiranga (Tricolour).
