Freshers’ Social and Music Video Release :
The Hon’ble Minister for Sports and Youth Services Mr. Robert Romawia Royte graced the Freshers’ Social and Music Video Released programme organised by the Students’ Union at Vanapa Hall on Tuesday, July 27, 2022. The Chief Guest Mr. Royte felicitated the University examination rank holders by presenting citation and cash award. Mr. Royte also released the first Music Video created by the Students’ Union of the College and felicitated the National Arm Wrestling Championship winner Ms. Malsawmkimi Khiangte, 3rd Semester student, who won three gold medals and one silver.
Speaking at the occasion the Chief Guest said that the pathway of success for a common man that cannot be halted by any element is education. Every successful person has their own story of hardships to tell but they prevailed and made noteworthy achivements because they did not let neither poverty nor lack of means stand in their way. He encouraged the students to be strong and not to forfeit their dreams and aims because of hardships but to gather strength from such hurdles.
The Principal Prof. JV Nunchunga extends a formal welcome to the freshers of the College. And addressing the gathering, the Principal said that the College is a not a place to enjoy one’s freedom and social life but a venue to pursue education and knowledge.
On behalf of their respective classes, four fresher students – Joseph Lalpekthanga, Lalruatpuii, Lalramsanga and Biakzuali, spoke about their experiences in their new Instution, and after which Mr. Lalthlamuana, General Secretary of the SU., presented a brief report and achivements of the students’ body. Two student’s award – Director’s Award and Principal’s Award, for good performances in End Semester and internal examination was given out by the Vice Principal Mr. Lalthlamuana, Associate Professor.
The first sesson of the Freshers’ Social programme was chaired by the Vice President of the Students’ Union, EC Lalhriatpuia. And, H. Vanlalnunkimi, Social & Cultural Secretary proposed the vote of thanks.
The second session of the programme was an entertainment session of music, fun and laughter where the students show off their talents and skills. It was hosted by Mr. Lalngaihzuala, 3rd Semester and Ms. Lalnunziri, 5th Semester.
