Brief Description& Outcomes: n Awareness Campaign on Forest & Innovation was jointly organized by the Eco Club and the Department of Geography, Government J. Thankima College in observance of International Day of Forests at Central Campus & Far Park, ICFAI Campus, Durtlang.
n The event took place in the Geography Core room, where students and faculty gathered to explore and discuss important issues concerning our forests and innovative solutions.
n Special Lecture on Forest Resource Conservation was delivered by Mr. Gabriel Lalchhandama, Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography, GJTC. His enlightening discourse focused on the significance of forest resources and strategies for their conservation. It was heartening to see over 37 students actively engaging and learning about sustainable practices.
n Posters related to the theme were strategically displayed across various locations within the campus. These visuals served to reinforce key messages about forest conservation and the role of innovation in environmental stewardship.
n A nature walk and a cleanliness drive were conducted at Far Park, ICFAI Campus. These activities not only fostered appreciation for our natural surroundings but also instilled a sense of responsibility towards maintaining cleanliness and sustainability. |
