Objectives of the Cleanliness Drive

  1. To Create Awareness: Educate students on the importance of cleanliness for personal health, community well-being, and environmental sustainability.
  2. To Foster Responsibility: Instill a sense of civic responsibility and environmental stewardship among students.
  3. To Encourage Action: Inspire students to actively participate in maintaining clean and hygienic surroundings.
  4. To Improve Campus Hygiene: Ensure a clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing college environment.
  5. To Promote Sustainable Practices: Teach students the benefits of waste segregation, recycling, and responsible disposal methods.
  6. To Develop Team Spirit: Encourage teamwork and cooperation among students by working together on a common cause.

The Context: On November 2, 2023, to promote cleanliness and environmental stewardship, students from the Mizo Department Core embarked on a meaningful activity to weed the banana plantation located at the college campus. The activity aimed to not only beautify the surroundings but also to support the growth and health of the banana plants.

Outcomes of the Cleanliness Drive

  1. Cleaner Campus Environment: Successfully improved the hygiene and appearance of the college premises and its surroundings.
  2. Enhanced Awareness: Increased understanding among students about the importance of cleanliness and its broader impact on health and the environment.
  3. Behavioral Changes: Encouraged the adoption of better hygiene practices and waste management habits among participants.
  4. Community Impact: Inspired the wider college community to take responsibility for maintaining cleanliness in their spaces.

By achieving these objectives and outcomes, the cleanliness drive not only improved the campus environment but also empowered students to take an active role in fostering a cleaner and healthier society.
