A Non-Violence Trekking programme to commemorate the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi – Gandhi Jayanti and International Day of Non-Violence was organised by Inter-College Youth Adventure Club on 2nd October, 2018. Eighteen members of the Divinition Youth Adventure Club (DYAC) of GJTC participated in the event held at Sêrlui.

The 6th Non-Violence Trekking programme organised by the Inter-college Youth Adventure Club was flagged off by John Lalṭanpuia, Joint Director, Sports & Youth Services Department, Govt. of Mizoram at 10:00 AM at Government Aizawl College. Various adventure clubs members numbering more than 100 participated in the event.

The Non-Violence Trekking programme was organised to foster cooperation and friendship among the students of various institutions of higher education in Mizoram. Along with the trekking programme, the cleaning and clearing of Sêrlui (river) was also organised to preserve and protect the ecological balance of the environment.
