Brief Description& Outcomes:          

         An enriching workshop on waste management and practical crafting was organized by Eco Club & Department of Management, Govt. J. Thankima College at Central Campus.

         Dr. Vanlalpeka Renthlei, in the first session, imparted invaluable insights on waste management. His lecture shed light on the importance of reducing, reusing, and recycling to mitigate the environmental impact of waste.

         Following this enlightening session, a hands-on workshop facilitated by Ms. Lalawmpuii Kawlni. Participants were guided through the art of crafting waste materials into innovative and sustainable pieces. Ms. Lalawmpuii Kawlni’s expertise and passion for eco-friendly art inspired creativity among all participants.

         Moreover, in conjunction with the workshop, a competition was held where students showcased their talents by crafting materials into art or sustainable products.

         The prize for the most beautifully crafted material, valued at Rs. 2000, was awarded to an exceptional student whose creation exemplified both artistic flair and environmental consciousness.

         This event not only encouraged creativity but also emphasized the importance of practical solutions in addressing environmental challenges. It is heartening to witness such enthusiasm and commitment from our participants towards sustainable practices.
