Survey of Educated Unemployed Youth at Bawngkawn NSS.GJTC 11th July, 2024

 

Objectives

  1. Understanding Ground Realities: Collect first-hand data on the challenges faced by educated unemployed youths, such as skill gaps, lack of job opportunities, or systemic barriers.
  1. Research Skill Development: Equip students with hands-on experience in designing surveys, collecting data, and analysing results.
  1. Promoting Social Awareness: Increase students’ understanding of socio-economic issues, fostering empathy and a sense of responsibility.
  2. Data-Driven Insights: Gather insights to identify patterns, such as industries with surplus labour, common skill deficiencies, or geographic disparities in employment.
  3. Policy Suggestions: Provide recommendations based on the findings to stakeholders, such as educational institutions, government bodies, or NGOs.
  4. Engagement with the Community: Strengthen college-community ties by engaging with local youth and understanding their aspirations and challenges.

Expected Outcomes

  1. Enhanced Employability for Students: Students gain practical skills in research methodology, communication, and critical thinking, which can improve their employability.
