Dr. C. Vanlalramsanga, Economic Advisor, Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Govt. of India was the expert on hand. He had given a talk about Entry into Civil Services and Achieving Success in Life”. He also shared several key slides to support his presentation. He began by discussing career, saying that whichever career and profession we choose, we must keep in mind whether we will be able to contribute to our country and how we will be a competent individual in our society. He stressed the importance of preparing for obstacles and attaining success in our lives in this 21s century by highlighting some industrious, conscientious and successful people who are well-known around the world. He also urged the students to carefully consider their career options, saying that we live in the knowledge era, people can pursue any profession or professions that they are interested in and like.
He had also discussed the need of time management. Each of us has 24 hours in a day. How much hours did we spend studying? Since our sincerity and time spent on it are indicators of our success, it is prudent to devote more time to our studies. He went on to add that there is no excuse for failure, and that even if we have fate, we can use it to our advantage in life. He also recommended that we get a library copy of the National Employment newspaper by subscribing to it.
