Objectives:
- To impart fundamental knowledge on Mutual Fund.
- To study the trends in returns of selected Mutual funds.
- To study the various Mutual Fund offered by the State Bank of India.
The Context:
The seminar was chaired by Dr.Josephine Lalrindiki, HOD, Department of Management, wherein the Chairperson gave an introduction of the Resource person’s portfolio; also welcoming and thanking him for his acceptance to be a Key Speaker in the said seminar.
Lalawmpuia Kawlni, 1st semester, BBA serenaded the participants with his heart- warming song. The resource person was summoned right after. The topic of interest included:
- Money Rules
- Meaning and concepts- Mutual Funds.
- Types of Mutual Funds- a. Open ended b. close ended – The Resource person elaborated in length the types of mutual fund.
- Investment process and the benefits of investing.
After the resource persons ‘presentation, a second singer for the day graced the occasion with yet another song. Mrs. Lalrinfeli, HOD, Department of Economics, GJTC offered a vote of thanks and with that the seminar was concluded.
REFRESHMENT was distributed after the session.
Outcome:
The participants, through the feedback collected are believed be to more aware of Mutual Fund, benefits of investing, the returns of investing and the process of investing.
