An inauguration programme of the Language Laboratory Class was held today, ie., the 24th July, 2018 at the Central Campus of GJTC. The Language Laboratory Class is a Rashtriya Uchchtar Siksha Abhiyan (RUSA) sponsored scheme and is managed by the Spoken Language Committee of GJTC.

Speaking at the occasion, the Chief Guest Dr. C. Lalremruata, Principal,GJTC, while inaugurating the English Laboratory Class, highlighted the importance of English in today’s world. He encouraged the students not to feel hesitant to speak in English even if they make grammatical errors, and also encourages the students to practice English everyday.

Lalhmunsiami Khiangte, Associate Professor of English delivered a welcome address at the inaugural function which was attended by the students of the 5th Semester English Core Class.

The purpose, aims and objectives of Language Laboratory under RUSA scheme is to achieve active and interactive method of learning English in the most movitated matter. It intends to improve the students to speak English with correct pronunciation and accent with ease and confidence. To improve listening, speaking and reading skills in the most motivated matter.

The Language Laboratory will be opened every Monday And Thursday of every week at 11:00 – 11:45 AM for the Vth Semester English Core students and for Remedial Classes on Monday, Wednesday & Thursday of every week at 2:00 – 3:30 PM.
