Mahatma Gandhi’s birthday was observed by the Department of English to inculcate to students about the great inspiration he left behind in the minds of many Indians. The Programme was hosted by the Head of Department, Miss Maria Lalremruati, and the life of Mahatma Gandhi was presented by Miss Lalrinsangi Ralte, faculty, Department of English. With various images of Mahatma Gandhi, students were lectured about the greatness of Mahatma Gandhi and his famous non- violence policy which has a great impact on the world, and how Mahatma Gandhi also strongly fought against many evil social practice like caste- system, untouchability, etc.
