Objectives:
- To prevent waterlogging and flooding during heavy rainfall, ensuring the safety of students, faculty, and staff on campus.
- To protect the campus infrastructure, including buildings, roads, and walkways, from water damage and erosion.
- To improve the overall appearance of the campus by maintaining a clean and well-maintained environment with proper drainage.
- To create a safe and comfortable environment for students, faculty, and staff to navigate the campus, especially during inclement weather.
- To comply with environmental regulations and sustainability practices by managing storm water runoff effectively and reducing the risk of pollution in nearby water bodies.
The context:
16th September, 2022: Construction of side drain at Central Campus, Bawngkawn Brigade. Forty (40) History Core Students from 5lh Semester are participated.
Outcome:
The construction of side drains at a college campus would likely result in improved drainage and reduced instances of flooding during heavy rainstorms.
